Description
Lying is one of the most common problems that caretakers and parents complain about with their challenging children. This class will help you understand why children tend to struggle with telling the truth. Participants will learn practical strategies on how to help their foster child tell the truth along with attachment-based, behavioral strategies in response to those frustrating lies.
The class is taught by David Adams, Psy.D. , L.P.C.C., B.C.B.A.D. David has two children that he adopted from the foster care system. In addition to his formal education his real life experience at home has given him extensive insight that he will be sharing with you.
A light dinner will be provided. If you made your own arrangements for childcare we offer vouchers to help cover your childcare costs. This class is a part of our Foster & Kinship Care Education Series (FKCE) to help you stay current with best practices in parenting. Thank you for all you do to help children thrive!
